To help Registered Entities understand how internal controls assessments fit into the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP), WECC has published two documents on their website. The documents summarize the internal controls assessment process and how the activities fit into pre-existing audit timelines. WECC staff will review the documents at an extended Compliance Open webinar on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. WECC staff will review the Internal Controls Data Collection Template, (ICDCT) Control Objectives, and the associated process. Public Utility District No. 1 of Chelan County will provide an overview of its experience responding to the ICDCT. Additionally, WECC staff will review the new template for Failure Point documents.
