Summary:
Through the SERC Regional Risk Report, the SERC Reliability Risk Working Group (RRWG) advises the SERC Board of Directors and Technical Committees concerning risks to the reliability of the bulk power system (BPS) in the SERC region. Risks identified in this report reflect the collective conclusions that SERC has developed through its Engineering, Operations, and Critical Infrastructure Protection Committees and its internal departments and programs. The RRWG wants to hear from you about potential risks to the BPS in the SERC region. By answering a few questions and describing the potential reliability risk to the RRWG, you can start the process of adding a new risk to the risk registry. Identifying new and emerging risks is the first step for the RRWG and SERC in reducing the risk to the BPS. The information you provide is vital to the identification, review, and analysis of risks. Identifying new and emerging risks will assist SERC and the Technical Committees in their approach to their work plans and efforts to reduce the risk to the BPS.
