Howard Gugel, NERC vice president, Engineering and Standards will participate in a joint meeting of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on March 31. Gugel will join representatives on a panel – Grid Reliability, Nuclear Power Plants & Other Topics – at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern) to review key findings from NERC's 2021 State of Reliability, 2021 Long-Term Reliability Assessment, the Energy Reliability Assessment Taskforce, and reliability risk mitigation activities. The open meeting will be held virtually. Members of the public may attend the open session. Commissioners from both agencies are expected to participate.
